Provides a GUI frontend for a database system. Oliphant allows users to manipulate the database, similar in style to tools like phpmyadmin, DBVisualizer, and Base.
What's your vision?
I'm looking for an icon for an OS X application titled "Oliphant". The application will be a GUI frontend for a database system (ie the app allows for the manipulation of this database system). I'm looking for an icon with accompanying text. The icon should be an elephant of some kind. The text should say "Oliphant". This icon will be used as the primary icon in the OS X dock as well as prominently featured on the app's website (and possibly in the OS X app store). The icon should be able to stand on its own but also look good with the matching text. The icon should not have a background but should be just the elephant on its own (ie not within a square or something like an iOS app but all alone like for desktop Mac apps). Icon should be in standard sizes for app icons: 512, 256, 128, 48, 32, 16px PNGs, ICNS. Please also provide a layered PSD. Bonus points if the icon is in a vector format. I'd like the icon to communicate that this application is a professional tool but still have some fun associated with it. A good example of what I mean by this is the Postbox icon: http://www.postbox-inc.com/graphics The attached images illustrate the style elephant I am looking for. I do not wish for the icon to be completely flat (it needs some depth since it is a OS X desktop application) but I am not looking for a design that is overly complex. Please do not directly use items from these images.
As this is a database management application, the primary audience will be developers and database administrators.
