We need a brochure, as well as a coordinating poster, for our TENS units that will catch the eye of patients in doctor's office waiting rooms. The point of these materials should be to 1) educate the patient that there is an alternative to pain medication (our TENS unit), and 2) get them to ask their doctor for a prescription for our product.
Theratech TENS Unit
We have created a sample tri-fold/Z-fold brochure as a guideline/template for your design of the brochure and poster. We'd like your brochure design to be this same style and size (8.5x11) as well. The poster should be similar in design to the brochure, so the patient sees the poster and picks up the brochure. The poster needs to be simple, but extremely eye catching with only key details from the brochure included. The poster should be able to be printed in perfect quality up to 24"x36". The brochure also needs to be eye catching, but will contain the bulk of the details. Our sample brochure covers all the details and testimonials that must be included. Please stick to the same page layout of our sample brochure, with the information on the same pages as in our sample. Slight movement is OK. Basically, we want a design very similar to our sample, just more professional and sleek looking (excellent use of color, text layout, fonts, etc). Please feel free to be creative in that manner. We need something very high quality. Think classy! The brochure should probably be designed first, and then the poster based off of the punch line/ theme from the brochure.
EMAIL US AT TAGULLETT@LIVE.COM TO RECEIVE THE SAMPLE BROCHURE, COMPANY LOGO, TENS UNIT IMAGE, AS WELL AS THE LINK TO A LIGHTBOX OF STOCK PHOTOS WE'VE SELECTED FOR YOU TO CHOOSE FROM. You can use other istockphoto.com images too, we just picked some out that we like. Of course, we'll purchase the images used in the winning design after the winner is announced.
All of the details in our sample brochure should be included in your brochure design, keeping the layout extremely similar to our sample. Example, keep the testimonials page on the same page in your brochure. The poster should coordinate with the brochure, without all the details.
In our sample brochure, we have used the tagline "You're tired of the pain. You're tired of the Pills. Finally, an alternative. Take your life Back." We also have on the back of our sample, "Is pain ruining the quality of your life? There is an alternative to pain medication." This is just the best we could come up with. If you can think of catchier phrases, please feel free to use them instead! We're quite open to creative freedom in this respect.
The point is that we are marketing a device for people who are sick of taking pain pills, and want an alternative. The info we need you guys to keep is on the inside of our sample brochure....What a TENS unit is, How it will help the patient, who can benefit, etc. The catchy, "advertising" aspects of this contest is what will help you win.
IN SUMMARY:
- It needs to be awesome looking. We need patients to pick this up and want to read it!!
-We need the brochure to educate, so please keep the details in our sample. We need a design that is so interesting, our details aren't boring. (Break the text up with the stock photos, etc).
-Please be creative with the tag lines/catchy phrases on the cover/back. Only the general layout and the inside info, including testimonials needs to stay the same. If some of the testimonials need to be cut due to your design, that's ok, we know we have a lot. But, they are very important.
Please submit finished product as a high RES high def PDF file.
Nothing cheesy or cheap-looking.
No tiny type; senior citizens are the main ones reading this.
Not too cluttered. Good use of white space.
