Independent app development for Android.
What's your vision?
I am developing a simple Android app named Caltrain Alerts. The goal is to pull service updates from Twitter and send realtime alerts to the user's phone. Users may receive one or more alert notifications at a time on their phones. Users can tap the notifications to open a list view of the previous 50 alerts. The content for the alerts list will come from http://twitter.com/#!/caltrain. Each alert will be short and likely contain train numbers. There are a few features that I need presented in the interface: - The list of alerts - A way to manually refresh the list - A way to mute or "snooze" the notifications if the user isn't interested in getting realtime updates. - A way to get into the settings screen (you don't need to design the actual settings screen). In addition to the designed UI I need: - A simple logo - An app icon - An icon to show in the notification bar when a new alert is received. The design should adhere to the Android 2.2 design guidelines: http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/index.html http://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/developer/bin/answer.py?answer=1078870 http://www.androidpatterns.com/ I have uploaded a screenshot of the current version of the app but feel free to completely rethink the layout. Note that this app will eventually be open sourced so images from the accepted design may eventually be used in other programs.

It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their app.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Jebcor collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
